About Us

Pioneering Spirit

From its very beginnings, Viña Morandé has been shaped by the vision and pioneering spirit of its founder, Pablo Morandé.

Since its inception, Viña Morandé has been marked by the vision and pioneering spirit of its founder, Pablo Morandé. In 1996, after being the first to plant vines in the Casablanca Valley, he founded the winery in 1996 with a clear purpose: to explore new territories, recover Chile's winemaking heritage, and craft wines with identity, honesty, and quality.

That bold spirit soon took shape in the creation of our "Aventuras" line (today known as Adventure), through which we seek to highlight the diversity of Chilean terroirs and recover ancient varieties grown in the Secano Interior of Maule and Itata. For us, these regions hold deep meaning: Cauquenes is our founder's birthplace, and the origin of many of our most emblematic wines.

Innovation

Innovation has always been part of our DNA. In 2004, we were pioneers in high-density planting in Chile (over 10,000 vines/ha), reintroduced the use of large oak casks, incorporated concrete eggs for fermentation, and committed to producing highly complex sparkling wines. We have also explored new forms of winemaking expression, from frozen grape wines to grappa-style spirits.
