House of Morandé

Tradition, innovation, perfection

House of Morandé is our winery's iconic blend.

A wine that embodies our pioneering spirit, combining accumulated experience with a bold vision for the future. Born in the best vineyards of the San Bernardo region—the third alluvial terrace of the Upper Maipo Valley—this Bordeaux blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by Cabernet Franc and Carignan, delivering structure, depth, and elegance.

In the glass, it displays character, density, and a structure of fine tannins that envelop the palate. Its finish is persistent, harmonious, and refined. It is a wine that reflects the skill, sensitivity, and patience of those who understand that wine is an art with history.

Origin: D.O. Maipo Alto

The Origin

Maipo Alto, the birthplace of Chilean Cabernet

House of Morandé was born in the heart of the Maipo Valley, specifically in San Bernardo, where we cultivate our vineyards on the third alluvial terrace of the Maipo River. This area—with its stony soils, Mediterranean climate, and marked temperature range—offers exceptional conditions for the slow and concentrated ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Thanks to this terroir of tradition and character, we obtain grapes with great structure and natural balance, which give rise to a deep, elegant wine with excellent aging potential.

Wine as a craft

“The work of a winemaker is a sensitive interpretation of the place and the grape. It requires patience, knowledge, and respect for the processes. It is a craft that connects with the origins of human culture.”

— Ricardo Baettig, Winemaking Director at Viña Morandé
