Viña Morandé is celebrating a new series of accolades from the prestigious Robert Parker Wine Advocate, a publication that has influenced wine markets and guided consumers around the world for nearly 50 years. The standout wines in this latest tasting were Morandé El Cabernet de Ránquil 2022, which earned an impressive 97 points, and Morandé VIGNO 2024, awarded 96 points.
A unique expression of Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile, El Cabernet de Ránquil comes from a 1.96-hectare vineyard that has been preserved for 130 years in the Secano Costero of the Itata Valley. Consistently acclaimed since its release, the wine represents more than a century of dedication by a single family that has safeguarded this vineyard for generations, as well as Viña Morandé’s vision in recognizing a forgotten terroir whose story deserved to be told.
Also sourced from old vines, Morandé VIGNO 2024 is a blend of Carignan and Syrah grown in gobelet-trained vineyards in the Secano Costero of the Maule Valley. Beyond its remarkable character, juiciness, and ageing potential, the wine represents the work of the Vignadores de Carignan, an association of producers dedicated to preserving century-old vineyards and the identity of Chilean Carignan.
These are two wines from distinct regions and with different expressions, yet united by the same philosophy: to reveal Chile’s winegrowing heritage through authenticity, innovation, and profound respect for origin.

In total, 11 wines from different tiers of the winery’s portfolio received scores of 90 points or higher.
