JAMES SUCKLING AND TIM ATKIN AWARD HIGH SCORES TO VIÑA MORANDÉ

With outstanding scores consistently surpassing 90 points from critics such as James Suckling and Tim Atkin, Viña Morandé has demonstrated its dedication to oenological excellence. These accolades are a testament to the winery’s commitment to quality and innovation and confirm its position as one of the most important wineries in Chile.

Each year, wineries worldwide are subjected to the rigorous evaluation of international wine critics, who meticulously examine each bottle for quality, character, and excellence. This rating process is crucial for the wine industry as it provides invaluable guidance for both consumers and producers.

Viña Morandé has consistently stood out, receiving exceptional scores that reflect its unwavering commitment to quality and innovation in each harvest. These ratings not only recognize hard work and dedication but also guarantee wine lovers that they are enjoying world-class wines.

So far in 2024, Viña Morandé has already received scores from two prominent global critics. Firstly, the renowned American critic James Suckling awarded an outstanding 95 points to House of Morandé 2021, the winery’s iconic blend, noted for its great balance and structure, and its smooth, elegant, and long-lasting finish.

He also awarded an impressive 94 points to Black Series Chardonnay 2022, Black Series Pinot Noir 2022, Vigno 2021, and two wines from Morandé Adventure: Antiguas Raíces 2021 and Colinas de Ránquil 2022.

Black Series Syrah 2021 and Morandé Adventure El Gran Petit 2022 each received 93 points from Suckling. The Vitis Única line, specifically the Carmenere, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc varieties, received 92 points, the same score awarded to two wines from the Morandé Adventure line: Bestiario 2023 and El Padre 2022.

Meanwhile, the English critic Tim Atkin awarded significant 93 points to Black Series Chardonnay 2022 and Vigno 2021. House of Morandé 2021, Black Series Pinot Noir 2022, Black Series Syrah 2021, and Casatinta 2020 received notable 92 points, as did Vitis Única Chardonnay 2022 and Bestiario 2022.

Finally, Colinas de Ránquil 2022, the País grape wine that is part of the Morandé Adventure portfolio, received 91 points from the critic.

With these scores, there is no doubt that 2024 has been a great year for Viña Morandé and it also demonstrates that it has already established a standard of excellence in the Chilean wine industry, allowing it to compete on the global stage with great mastery.
