It’s harvest time! Once again, we have reached this important moment in the year, which will give us the great wines of 2023 that we will soon taste in several of our lines. And with the harvest, our adventure winery is already fully operational, receiving grapes daily to begin the process of selecting our grapes and their subsequent vinification.

As I mentioned in our pre-harvest report, we began the harvest the third week of February, with some Pinot Noir from young vineyards and with Semillón del Secano, in the Maule Valley. This harvest was a week earlier than previous years, mostly due to the strong temperatures we had in the recent summer.

These temperatures, which were historical records, had an overall impact on our harvest processes, since its heat waves were constant and therefore, the fruit ripened faster than we had planned and what we had been seeing in recent years. forcing us to be very attentive to determine the precise moment in which the grapes should be harvested.

This is how we have already harvested almost all our red grapes, especially Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère from the Maipo Valley. Like our varieties from the Casablanca Valley, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The only things that are still pending are the Sauvignon Blanc variety, the fruit from the Malleco valley and our Cabernet Sauvignon de Ránquil, a surprise that we will talk about later.

As for other wines, I can tell you that our Morandé Adventure Tirazis, Despechado and our grapes for the wines of the Vitis Única line are ready to begin their vinification. We had an excellent harvest of these varieties, with a quality and health of the fruit that has us expecting and predicting great wines.

In this way, one of the most decisive moments of the winery is coming to an end, an instance that puts our speed and abilities to the test and is part of the exciting world of making great wines. Cheers! For the future great harvest 2023.
